Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer telehealth or in-person appointments?

Do you offer telehealth or in-person appointments?

MindHelp Therapeutics provides psychiatric services primarily via secure telepsychiatry, allowing for consistent, high-quality care with privacy and flexibility.

While the practice maintains professional office locations in multiple states, patient appointments are currently conducted virtually. Telepsychiatry visits are delivered with the same clinical depth, confidentiality, and professionalism as in-person care.

Do you offer therapy?

MindHelp Therapeutics does not provide stand-alone therapy services. However, supportive psychotherapy techniques are integrated into medication management visits when clinically appropriate. This allows for education, insight, and practical tools alongside thoughtful psychiatric care.

What states do you serve?

Dr. Thompson provides telepsychiatry services for adults located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Florida, in accordance with state licensure requirements and applicable regulations.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Insurance-based care is available through partner platforms including Headway, Alma, and Grow Therapy. Insurance coverage, copays, and eligibility are determined by your specific plan and the platform through which services are scheduled.

Do you offer private pay options?

Yes. Fee-for-service (private pay) appointments are available directly through MindHelp Therapeutics. This option offers additional flexibility and continuity of care outside of insurance-based structures. A detailed fee schedule is available on the Get Started page.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your initial visit includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, discussion of your history and treatment goals, and thoughtful clinical recommendations.

Appointments are unrushed and collaborative, with an emphasis on diagnostic clarity, education, and individualized treatment planning.

Do you complete disability, ESA, or FMLA paperwork?

Dr. Thompson may complete disability forms, Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters, and FMLA documentation for established patients when clinically appropriate.

These requests are considered only after a therapeutic relationship has been established and sufficient clinical history is available to support the request. Documentation is based on medical necessity, clinical judgment, and applicable legal and ethical guidelines.

Requests for paperwork completion are not evaluated during initial consultations or one-time visits. Completion of forms or letters is not guaranteed and is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Do you provide emergency or crisis services?

No. MindHelp Therapeutics is an outpatient psychiatric practice and does not provide emergency or crisis care.

If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, please call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988. Support is available 24/7.
